Writing a will is an important part of financial planning. There are many diverse reasons for writing a will, most of which are based around one fundamental issue - making sure you have already provided for your family’s needs, if and when you die. The ‘will’ will allow you to determine precisely who will administer your estate, and who will look after your children (their 'guardian') if you and your partner should both die. You can even make provisions for your own funeral arrangements in your Will.

Should you die intestate (without a will); your property will be distributed according to the law, which is likely to be inconsistent with your personal wishes.

In addition, writing a will gives you the opportunity of reducing Inheritance Tax liability or possibly avoiding it all together - legitimately. This is particularly important if you have substantial assets. It will also ensure your money goes to whom you want it to go to and NOT the tax man.

The majority of home-owners are without a Will, and reason being it is perceived as complicated and expensive, which it clearly isn’t. Others put off writing a will until its too late. If you don't want to make that mistake, don't delay any longer, contact us now or fill in our enquiry form.
